Juliet's author journey
In 2020, Juliet was accepted into a writing program called the Author Conservatory. The college alternative program set out to create career training to help young authors succeed by teaching them writing and business skills.
During her time as a student Juliet worked and learned from authors such as Brett Harris, Kara Swanson, and Joanne Bischof DeWitt, and writing professionals such as Steve Laube and Katie Williams. She planned, drafted, and edited novel length projects, and in her final year published her short story, Details in The Buttercream, in Volume 3 of Voices of the Future.
On the business side of the program Juliet built a house cleaning business from scratch. She started with her own two hands serving families in Michigan to give them a clean tidy home to rest and enjoy life in. Over the next few years, her business continued to grow. Juliet hired a team of employees, worked with business coaches to make it more sustainable, and ending up making $50,000 dollars of gross revenue before turning 20.
On June 11th, 2024 Juliet officially graduated from The Author Conservatory, in the inaugural graduating class. Now Juliet is continuing to pursue her career as an author by getting her short story Details In The Buttercream into the hands of more readers, developing new novels to pursue publication with, and continue to seek guidance from writing professionals on writing craft.
